While I am a big shill for these as a commute pair, that's where I draw the line. They are good enough for a Zoom call, with mics that just barely do the job. Please adjust the earbuds when you wear them and try to take one earbud out of your ears and hold them up to your mouth to see if it gets better.

If you want to manually turn the earbuds on, take them out of the case one by one and hold the earbud for 1.5 seconds in your ear. The earbuds will power on. To turn them off, you can just put them in the case or hold each earbud for 10 seconds. Audio aside, when you buy some earbuds, you need to know that they’ll withstand the daily in and out of the case and your ear. They’ll manage to survive a drop out of your ear and they’ll control consistently, especially with touch controls!I have been listening to these buds now for the last 2 weeks and they are enjoyable if you’re looking for a basic pair of buds. If audio quality is important to you then the Free2 Classic does output some tininess at times. The USB-C charging at this price-point, has until now been unheard of, and that’s worth something on it’s own! On the outside of each earpiece is a touch-sensitive control pad, and on the Inside there are 6mm “bio-compound” diaphragm drivers. The SoundPEATS Free2 Classic are tightly sealed up from dirt and water ingress. In fact, they’re given an IPX8 waterproof rating. This means they can withstand high pressure water jets, and you can submerge them in water to 1 meter depth. In reality, this means you can take them outside in any kind of weather, or even wear them while you shower or swim. In both instances, you need not worry about their integrity; they’ve been rigorously designed for water resistance. As you can see, there are quite a bit of different functions that can be performed with the touch controls. Unfortunately, we found the touch controls to act up a bit when you’re placing the earbuds within your ears. Naturally, you have to touch the logo area on the exterior of the buds to insert them into your ears. With this, it’s easy to accidently activate certain functions that you wouldn’t necessarily want at that time. It’s not a big deal, but something we think users should be aware of.

Clear Pairing: place both earbuds in the charging case and hold both buttons for 10 seconds when the LEDs start flashing red and white twice. This means you have reset the earbuds. In testing these earbuds, we found the sound quality to be good. We got a good full sound out of the earbuds in all modes. We prefer the ANC mode over the others. There were no issues with pairing the earbuds and the battery life was good. We listen to music a few hours a day and the battery lasted over a month on the initial charge.
