Christensen (1902-2001) was called the grandfather of American Ballet. He was born in Brigham City, Utah. He had established the San Francisco Ballet in 1938. Later he founded the ballet department to the University of Utah in 1951, the first of its kind, and Ballet West in 1963. The balloon lands beside the puppet theatre. Dancers from all over the world come to life and leap out of the theatre. The Mouse King is finally vanquished by the heroic nephew and a magnificent celebration begins. The dancers perform divertissements. The puppet theatre disappears to reveal a beautiful garden, amongst which dancers perform the Waltz of the Flowers. Finally, Clara dances a glorious pas de deux as the Sugar Plum Fairy with the Nephew as the Prince. They are joined by all the characters from around the world. And it is just as surreal as the ballet - but ballets are surreal by nature, while books needn't be. Like a darker, Continental forerunner to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. A modern take (which usually fails to enchant me), but like I said in my other review, I found myself enjoying a fresh look and it really did fit nicely with the tale itself and brought this adventure to life in a wonderfully atmospheric way.

Ga nyangka aja, padahal lebih dari separuh cerita banyak yang bisa ketebak.
