There are power/electricity access points on both sides of this tent. This is handy as many other tents only have them on one side, and this can mean having to run cables all around the outside of the tent or even having to pitch in different places so you can reach the electric supply. Fully Fire Retardant – Flysheet, Bedrooms, Mesh and Groundsheet ALL now fully fire retardant to British Standards. Extensive Venting System – Low and mid-level venting which is adjustable to suit your camping and weather needs. They do not provide information about the floor, but it is bathtub style and most likely polyethylene. It is fully sewn in and sealed. Note that the inner tent has yet another floor, so you have two layers of floors in the sleeping area. The front porch area is provided with a separate groundsheet. This is handy as it gives you the option of whether you want it in place or not. Some like to feel the cool grass under their feet whilst in a sheltered area, and many campers also like to have no ground covering in areas where they are cooking/preparing food.

That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from Hi-Gear so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at Hi-Gear branded products within the Weekend Tents category. All in all, this is a camping castle, and it can accommodate far more users that what its official capacity suggests.

This living and bedroom area has a built in groundsheet, so no worries if it gets a bit wet or muddy, you will be nice and dry inside. So it will perform great in any environment and I see it very suitable for a 3-season-plus camping. I have already mentioned the doors with their mesh for ventilation. The main door is deep under the porch so you can have as much air as you want.The inner tent hangs attached to the shell so there is a gap for air circulation between the two layers.
