About this deal

The fisheye lens doesn't come with a lens hood due to the dome of the glass but it does have a carry case you can safely store it in.

Even though we only got to tests the less at The Photography Show, we were able to test them on a pretty wide range of subjects considering we were inside an exhibition hall. Clear your cache. Typically this is CMD+Shift+R or Ctrl+Shift+F5, but make sure to follow that link if you are having difficulty. These buttons are visible when the phone is rotated into a vertical position. The top one is for resetting the Bluetooth connection (for the shutter release) and the lower on activates wireless charging. (Image credit: Rod Lawton/Digital Camera World) We believe the best part of memories is making them. That’s why we strived to create the best possible tool for you to do so.If you travel a lot and love photography but don't want to invest in a big camera or lenses, these could well be the solution you need to up your photography and video game. The ShiftCam ProGrip is beautifully designed and does what it promises. In addition, with some of the available add-ons, it can take your picture-taking to even higher levels. If your phone doesn’t support wireless charging, you can use the built-in USB-C port to charge your phone by cable. The ProGrip can even be stood on end to double as a charging cradle while it does this. The lenses can either be bought individually or in bundles as listed above which means you really only have to spend money on the lenses you're going to find useful. The lens mount adapter sits snuggly under most phone cases so you don't need to invest in an additional case if you don't want to (although ShiftCam does make quite a smart-looking case if you did want to buy one). The lenses can also be used alongside ShiftCam's latest product, the Pro Grip which adds a grip to your phone that makes it feel more like a DSLR. I haven't had this familiar feeling of using a phone grip for taking shots since the LG G6 camera module. That being said, the ergonomics made it really feel close to holding a DSLR camera. With the addition of a swing grip, wireless charging and let's not forget, acting as a stand as well really eases up things. While it does not completely eliminate the shakiness when taking shots, it lessens the struggle of pressing the shutter button of the phone camera due to the shutter button of the grip.

The final lens in the MultiLens case is a 180 Degree Fisheye Lens. This lens will let you express your creativity however you’d like from a fun and unique perspective. Due to the magnetic nature of these accessories, using the SnapGrip ecosystem is simple. I don’t imagine most people will leave these accessories attached to their phones full-time, but that’s okay because they all just snap into place when needed and pull off when done.I did hit a snag here in testing: the long, braided USB-C to USB-C cable provided in the box didn’t provide any charge when I connected it from ProGrip to my phone. Replacing the cable with a much shorter one did convince it to charge, so this is something you may need to watch for. ShiftCam ProGrip extras The lenses seem pretty reactive in terms of focussing speed although the macro lenses will take some getting used to as you really do have to be aware of their focusing distances. When it comes to smartphone photography, the biggest brands in the industry gained their popularity for a reason. However, if you’re looking for something new to try, look no further than Shiftcam.

One criticism I have is being unable to store both the ShiftCam ProGrip and iPhone in the included case. It’s also worth noting that ShiftCam sells a range of complementary accessories, such as mountable lenses and fill lights, which could be worth considering if you’re serious about smartphone photography or videography. And it can be mounted on a tripod itself. ShiftCam ProGrip review verdict The top (blue) lamp shows Bluetooth is active, the red lamp indicates wireless charging, and the white lamps below indicate the internal battery's charge level. (Image credit: Rod Lawton/Digital Camera World) The ShiftCam Macro ProLens Kit provides two macro lenses - both are pretty impressive but the 10x macro really shone through. It has a focusing distance of around 2-3cm so you do have to get close to your subject, but the outcome is being able to create images with details the human eye can't see. Paired with a bright light and you’ve got yourself a workable macro set up at a pretty low cost.Other than the 1.33x anamorphic lens, these lenses aren't new to the market. However, it's been the first time we've been able to get our hands on them and compared to other phone camera lenses, they're a pretty desirable addition to a mobile photography kit.

I did sense a bit of mental magic where the photo-taking experience felt less like grabbing snapshots and placed me into a more artistic frame of mind. Since I’ve been using traditional-style cameras for the last 20 years, it does make some sense why I might be conditioned that way. I don’t want to over-emphasize that because you can get into the mood regardless of the device used to create images, but it made me more readily appreciate having the SnapGrip. Even phone dimension of iPhone X and XS are same, but the rear camera module and distance between primary camera and secondary camera are NOT same. There are other iPhone camera-grip-like products on the market, such as the Sibosz Smartphone Grip and ShutterGrip 2 Secure Camera Handle Holder. There's also Moment's extensive lineup of iPhone accessories that also include lenses and mounts. To make the lenses accessible for all iPhone shooters, ShiftCam has created two different types of lens mounts. There is a phone-specific lens mount that comes can fit the iPhone 11 up to the iPhone 13 series or you can invest in a universal lens mount that slides over the top of your phone. It is with great pride that we share the acclaim that ShiftCam has garnered from the photography and videography community, as we have been privileged to receive the highly coveted CES Innovation Award and the esteemed Reddot Design Award multiple times. The sample images that we got from the 75mm and 10X macro make it hard to believe they're taken on a phone camera. The detail and sharpness of the areas in focus are really impressive while the out-of-focus areas with bokeh is smooth and silky. The ProLens comes with a microfiber lens bag and magnetic lens cap to ensure your new lens stays clean and safe from harm while traveling to your shoot location. You can stash your lenses in your gear bag without worrying about the normal bumps and jiggles of travel. Shiftcam’s products are frequently listed among the best brands in the field of mobile photography and filmmaking. Their products are hand assembled and high-quality, ensuring that your photos and films have the professional look you’re aiming for. The build quality of the SnapLight matches the SnapGrip. The hinge used is easy to manipulate but does come at the cost of not staying in place if there’s a lot of vibration or motion happening while it’s extended. There are a couple of notches that keep it in place in the closed position. SnapPod
