About this deal

I’ve also compiled my east London walks, west London walks, south London walks, and north London walks into blog posts. You can find the relevant routes and maps on them. After passing under a railway bridge, you’ll enter Canbury Gardens, a great spot for relaxation and refreshments. This walk will take you to some of the best places to read in London, too, so make sure to bring a book with you when you do it. Turn right along Conyers Road, passing the Streatham Pumping Station. This is a really cool Victorian architectural building.

Next on my list of secret London walks is a themed London literary walk. This self-guided walk goes through several central London neighborhoods. As you continue, you’ll pass by Thames Ditton Island, Swan Island, and Boyle Farm Island, all with incredible views, greenery and wildlife. Exit the common and cross into Fontenoy Road. Turn right into Bedford Hill and then left into Ritherdon Road. This loveliest of secret London walks will guide you through the streets and green spaces in Dulwich village. It’s great if you’re looking to discover more of south London and want to find the best things to do in Dulwich as you go.If you want to go on this one, you can find the route, map, photos, and video on my Hampstead walk blog post. If you’re interested in taking this walk, you can find the route, pictures, map, and video on my Richmond walk blog post.

Turn into Penwith Road and cross the River Wandle. Continue through Ravensbury Terrace, Haslemere Avenue, and Lucien Road. If you’d like to do this one, you can find the route, map, and photos on my Holland Park walk blog post. My self-guided London walk in Islington will lead you through the vibrant Camden Passage Market, into pretty squares, and down side streets full of heritage details. This is a simply beautiful stretch of Regent’s Canal. Best at sunrise or twilight, when the sun reflects on the water and all the houseboats are illuminated. Cross the bridge to the stumpery (yeah, that’s a word apparently). It’s just…a lot of tree stumps. I know.
