About this deal

I’m on the red carpet in Hollywood with a young, sultry Sophia Loren in a silk gown hanging on my arm…and I’m the shizznit! But, of course, you can tell straight away from the packaging that Bleu de Chanel is sophisticated and elegant without smelling it.

Bubblegumy minty fresh opening, followed by a shower gel like "blue" mid with a creamy sandalwood dry down. To complement the Eau de Toilette, a full range of shaving and body products is available for an intensified scent throughout the day. The funny thing is I didn't really like it when I first smelled it, as someone just re-discovering fragrances I'm learning theres more than first Impressions.I know this one costs pretty high, but it has no inferiority to my other high quality and niche scents. Works all year day or night but definitely leans more formal than casual and I think is better suited to cool/mild weather. Creates a fairly good silage trail around you and lingers in the air for a few seconds even after you leave a room without being too potent. To me this is a staple that you should have in your collection if you have an interest for fragrances. You can find many aspects in this fragrance, some of them seemingly opposite - sweet, salty, cool, warm, natural, chemical - and they blend exquisitely.

Sprayed this on after almost a year, i forgot i had it TBH, put to the side usually in place of more recent acquisitions. I can't believe that Artesimia received the lowest rating of all recognizable notes here on Fragrantica. To me however, it smells too crowded, almost as if it's longing to be defined amongst the amalgamation of various notes as a scent. EDP/EDT share pepper notes with Eros Flame which don't seem to be listed here for Parfum, but there's definitely providing that spice, and I wish there were more of it.BLEU DE CHANEL is a fragrance for he who refuses the confines and conformity of a predetermined destiny. The Parfum offers a more dense and stable profile, so it will appear more elegantly smooth, sweet and charismatic, while the EDT is fresher, louder, and sharper, perhaps a bit more youthful (although both can easily be worn by anyone 20+). It is almost like its predecessor edp, but le parfume has this gorgeous sandalwood dry down, which is to die for.

So I cannot justify a full bottle purchase, especially since it’s nothing new and exciting and has been out for over 5 years. The versatility and mass appeal are through the roof, I tend to wear this in the evenings but it could easily be pulled off on a summer day. I absolutely loved that stuff, but the performance didn't wow me, though it was still mildly noticeable even after 6-8 hours.Might be a tad bit sweet for high summer heat, but for everything else but those hot days, it is nothing short of perfection. I have both and this Chanel is way more dense, noble when it comes to ingredients and it's performance and elegance is top notch.
